Long long ago, a startled and sleep deprived mom ventured forth into the ‘Parenting’ websites to find solace in the words of other confused mothers. In that venue Crunchy Carpets was born. She made a lot of friends. Had a lot of laughs.

Then she discovered blogging. In June 0f 2006, Crunchy started a blogger site. The power was giddy and she was soon pounding out countless posts about her little family, uploading photos, joining directories, creating vast blogrolls and so on.

She loved it.

Yet it wasn’t quite right. It wasn’t quite the content or format that she felt totally comfortable with. She thought it could be more. So she deleted it.

In the mean time, with the help of clever techie bloggie friends, she started to explore the world of Word Press and web hosts and found that she could probably figure out a lot of this herself. Shape her little world. Build up a site that was super deluxe Crunchy.

Here it is.

Who is Crunchy Carpets. I am a mom. I have three insane children, and sundry pets and I try to balance it all and my sanity.

Why Crunchy Carpets?  The above description should say it all.  That and I am not the best housekeeper on the planet.   Nor am I the best parent.  I have oft told people that I would describe my site as a ‘how NOT to parent’ site compared to all those mom blogger sites filled with sage advice and healthy recipes.

My kids play violent video games, watch too much tv, eat junk food and we all swear too much.

My kids should have a poster of them out there saying ‘DON’T LET YOUR KIDS BE LIKE US!’

Ok…perhaps not that bad, but you get the picture.  We are loud, we are a bit crazy, we all love each other very much.
