….actually hasn’t been TOO bad.
TV Watching From Forts….notice the wee one!
Adam is on cloud nine right now because a ‘friend’…..a GIRL ‘friend’ is over for a little visit. This was because he actually cleaned his room and hasn’t been a total TOOL today!!
Caity and him even worked TOGETHER at helping each other clean their rooms. Whose kids are these!
Tara thinks her bro is cool!
And we got out bike riding before the weather sucked AND we got to see our friends new baby daughter and play with the older sibs and eat lots of junk food, play video games and watch dvds….so really….not too bad at all.
Tomorrow we wrap it all up with the Paralympics Opening Ceremony!
Phew.
Oh and a birthday party on Saturday too!
I have to admit, that despite the windings up and the bickering….my kids actually get along pretty well.
Their biggest challenge this week was to watch out for the freshly and growing more MOBILE baby T. She is really enjoying exploring her ever growing world and the kids are now having to really watch her underfoot.
Where did everyone go!?
Being that I was carless for most of the week, I really wasn’t enthusiastic about venturing forth with all three kids alone, so I tried to keep things fairly simple and the activities based on home grown fun and imagination…like boxes. Yes. I installed T’s new car seat..sniffle.
I really need to figure out my pacing for the day though. When Tara is waking me up around 5 and 6, I am DYING and planning all sorts of ways to nap. Then I foggily wake up over the next few hours and by 10 am wide awake and blasting through my day…but by dinner time and the kids witching hour my reserves have VANISHED and I can’t hack dinner OR the kids and then poor Patrick comes home to me looking frazzled and wondering what the heck.
It also puts a dent in the evening because I just want to be alone…..I need to balance my energy and enthusiasm better throughout the day…….the loooooooong day and then the looooooooong nights with T waking up over and over and over and over and over….anyway.
It is 10 pm and this should have been a far better post than it is. I was trying to read the odd post by other people today and they were all pithy and good and deep and this is all I got.
Cute family though…right.
When in doubt…fall back on the cute photos!

Oh I feel for you, I do. I know that feeling where you go and go and push through the naptime and then collapse at the end. It will get better next week when they go back to school? I hope?
T is adorable. Love the forts. Looks like my living room.

I love that picture of Tara looking at Adam so adoringly! Cute pictures FTW!
My Spring Break isn’t until the end of the month (damn school districts messing up the schedules) but hopefully we’ll be able to do some fun stuff.

Tara looks so cute in those pics that I almost wish I could have another baby. So cute.
I know you’ve mentioned that you don’t have space for a crockpot but maybe you should take another look. It really helps with dinner when you’re exhausted. Toss it all in the pot in the am and by pm it’s all done. Maybe if you use it everyday you wouldn’t ever have to put it away or find space to store it. There was that one woman who cooked with her crockpot for an entire year so it can be done.
